I wanted to get an early start today and ended up taking off at 7am. I decided to go up Mt Rainier as I have decided to avoid the interstate highways as much as possible heading East over to Washington DC.
I decided to do a little exploring down a little forestry road heading towards the river. I found this amazing little spot but I’ll let the pictures tell the story.
I then took highway 12 over White pass.
And two miles down the road
I was feeling hungry so found a nice spot to enjoy some carrots, snow peas and tomatoes.
Once I got 5 miles over the pass the landscape changed dramatically from thick woods to sparsely treed hills with black cliff faces.
The drive through Kennewick on the way to Lewiston was fairly uneventful. This was probably the nicest sight to be seen.
I am sitting in my $40 a nice motel room eating microwaved lasagne writing blogs…….. oh the joys of life on the road 🙂
W-O-W. Jealousy meter just spiked 🙂
Don’t be the lasagna isn’t as good as they claim in the box.
You go Aussie boy! Have a great trip Ash!!
The scenery looks amazing. It really is an adventure. My bum would be numb by now!😕
