I took highway 12 out of Lewiston. I had heard that it was a nice drive over the lolo pass. I didn’t disappoint with 100+ continuous miles of twisty roads running along the Lochsa River. The whole road is part of the Lewis and Clark trail.
After crossing the lolo Pass I headed down HWY 93 to Hamilton from $5 footlong BLT subway. I then headed further south briefly back into Idaho then back into Montana on Hwy 43 to the Big Hole National Battlefield. The Battle of the Big Hole, was the largest battle fought between the Nez Percé and U.S. Government forces in the five-month conflict known as the Nez Perce War in 1877.
Drummond will be glad to see the amount of bugs and flies I killed with my helmet today while on the road. Just doing my bit for the fly problem here in the US. This helmet was perfectly clean this morning 🙂
